3rd International Water and Waste Management Virtual Expo & Conference-February 24-26, 2021
Subi served as a panel member and speaker on “Waste-to-Energy” at this conference held on Dual Time zones of USA and India. In all there were 2700+ Attendees from across the globe.
At this online conference organized by the River Water Users Association on November 27, 2020 from Prayag (India), Subi was a guest of honor. He addressed the conference on “Strategies for Smart Water” – a subject that is timely for India that faces water scarcity at many places in spite of having numerous water resources.

Global Paradigm Shift: Green Growth – the Next Wave
EVEXPO 2019, December 20-22, 2019, New Delhi
EV Expo was the 10th Electric Vehicles Expo in India. The Expo show-cased a range of electric vehicles in the 2 and 3 Wheeler segments growing rapidly in India. Numerous Indian and foreign companies displayed their products. The Expo also had many stalls for electric vehicle components like lithium batteries, BMS, chargers and others.
Along with Indian clients, ConsultSubi participated in this Expo.

2nd International River Summit 2019, November 28-30, Prayagraj, India
This is a global event, organized once every three years by the collaborative efforts of the River Water Users Association (India)- Institute of Rural Development and Research (IRDRA) and the International River Basin Foundation for Action on Sustainable Development for Water Security, Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security.
The event was conducted at the National Institute of Sciences in Prayaraj.
Over 75 papers were presented by experts from all over the world.
Subi participated in this event as a Guest of Honor and a speaker at the plenary session.

Following a special invitation from the PSCMR College of Engineering and Technology in Vijayawada, Subi addressed the faculty and senior students of this college on “Technology Trends – A Perspective for Students.”
Trip to Taiwan, September 15-20, 2019
Taiwan is characterized as one of the newly industrialized economies. This small country is one of the largest producers of electrical and electronic components. Subi traveled to Taiwan (September 15-20, 2019) to explore new business opportunities.
The Japanese Connection
In consulting business, apart from proven professional experience, contacts and connections play a very important part in acquiring clients.
Recently, Subi’s Japanese connections and a knowledge of Japanese conversation came in handy to create new business.
A quick dash to Tokyo, followed by meetings in New Delhi with a Japanese team resulted in a surprisingly successful consulting activity. Kampai!
International Workshop on Water, Renewable Energy and Green Environment, February 8-9, 2019 at the Siksha’O’Anusandhan (SOA – Deemed to be University), Bhubaneshwar, Odisha
At this international workshop at SOA in Bhubaneshwar, Subi served as a key faculty member. This is the third year in succession that he provided his expert services to the Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS) of SOA.
In another event at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (IETR) of SOA, Subi spoke on “Renewable Energy Options” and later participated in a selection process for budding entrepreneurs on February 9, 2019. 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, January 21-23, 2019 at Varanasi, India
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention is the flagship event of the Government of India and provides an important platform to engage and connect with the overseas Diaspora.
The theme of PBD 2019 was “Role of Indian Diaspora in building a New India.” About 10,000 delegates from various countries attended this event. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention.
Subi participated in this event and engaged with some of the senior officials of the Government. .
4th International River Summit, Cebu City, The Philippines, November 22-24, 2018
Grand Welcome at Cebu! This International River Summit was a great initiative by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP). The 4th International River Summit (IRS) was organized with the aim of ultimately improving the conditions of rivers across the globe.
Subi served as a plenary speaker at this international event. He spoke on “Rivers and Renewable Energy: The Water-Energy Nexus.”

Water and Energy Summit, Iloilo, Philippines
Following the Cebu event, on November 26, 2019, Subi served as a key faculty member at a training program in Iloilo on “Water and Renewable Energy.” Over 120 workers from 43 Municipal Governments attended this program.
Annual Meeting of Rivers of the World Foundation (ROW), October 26, 2018, Laurel, Maryland, USA
At this meeting, Subi made a presentation on “River Partnerships” citing an example of the Mississippi and Mekong Rivers Partnership that he launched as the program director of USAID/US-AEP funded CSG/State Environmental Initiative 14 years ago.
Over the years, this unique and innovative US-Asia partnership between the Mekong River Commission and the Mississippi River Commission has grown significantly benefiting both organizations in terms of sharing lessons learnt on sustainable development and river basin management.
Vibrant Tamilnadu, Madurai, India, August 12-15, 2018
This was a ‘Global Expo & Summit 2018’ to help Tamil Nadu’s agricultural and food industry to boost exports and find solutions for some of the critical challenges facedby the industry.
Companies from different countries around the globe including the U.S. visited this event to explain trade and technological partnership opportunities related to the food industry.
Over 400 global importers, buyers and partners from the food and beverage industry gathered at this expo to meet top officials from the agro-food industry, farmers and suppliers from Tamilnadu to explore business partnerships.

GLIM is one of the leading management schools in India founded by Dr. Bala Balachander, a distinguished professor of the Kellogg School of Management, Chicago, IL.
On August 1, 2017, Subi visited GLIM and enjoyed a tour conducted by Dr. Bala at this school’s green sprawling campus near Chennai.
Later, Subi addressed a large group of management students at GLIM. In his presentation, Subi explained how India’s ancient wisdom can help the students to improve their personal skills in becoming future corporate leaders.
Pharma/PACK EXPO, November 6-8, 2016, Chicago, IL
In coordination with The Global Trade Driver in Chennai, ConsultSubi facilitated an Indian delegation to the Pharma/PACK EXPO.
At the Pharma/PACK EXPO, the Indian delegates had a new and exciting trade show experience. They met with numerous international professionals from the pharmaceutical and packaging industry and witnessed technology, equipment and machinery in action from hundreds of suppliers. The contacts will greatly help to nurture business relationships between the U.S. and India.
Climate Change Workshop, Hyderabad, India – July 2016
On July 28, 2016, the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) conducted a one-day workshop at its campus in Hyderabad. As Chief Guest of ESCI, Sundaresan Subramanian (“Subi”) delivered the key note address at this workshop. The theme of his presentation was “Combating Climate Change through U.S. Partnerships.” He presented several specific opportunities for Indian organizations to partner with U.S. in the field of Clean Energy.
Dr. D.N. Reddy, Director of ESCI presided. Mr. B.V. Subbarao, advisor to the climate change forum of ESCI coordinated the event. The workshop had active participation of over 50 participants and several other speakers.
IAEMP Award April 2016
At the recent 10th anniversary meeting (April 8, 2016) in Mumbai, the Indian Association of Energy Management Professionals (IAEMP) presented Subi with an award in recognition of devoted service for the growth and progress of IAEMP. For three years, Subi served as the editor of IAEMP’s monthly magazine “The Urja Watch.” This award is a real supplement to the earlier two energy and environmental awards that Subi received from the Association of Energy Engineers, USA.

Feb 2016 @Gangtok, Sikkim – Seminar on Municipal Solid Waste Management
Sikkim is a state in North Eastern India, wedged between Nepal and Bhutan. The terrain is mountainous and has very little flat land. It is scenic with many rivers flowing through the state. Solid waste management is a serious problem in Sikkim because of difficult logistics in collection, treatment, and disposal. Subi conducted a seminar on municipal solid waste management for over 40 members of Gangtok Municipal Corporation that included the Municipal Commissioner and the Mayor.

The Parmarth Niketan is a well known organization actively involved in environmental protection of water bodies. In collaboration with the Rivers Of the World (ROW), a partnership was formed to launch an Environmental Training and Research Institute (EnTRI) at Dehradun, India. A seminar was conducted at the Parmarth Niketan to discuss the curriculum and operational matters connected with EnTRI. Subi participated in this seminar and made a presentation on funding options for environmental projects.
